Kalli: This is all just so annoying and confusing. What is the point of this continuous fighting when the military has gone back into hiding. They don't even see me as a threat without... without Shadow. I began crying again. How could Michael set a trap for an ally and walk away all pleased with himself? I am beginning to see this fighting as completely illogical. And my life appears useless now. I don't even understand what McRea meant when he said I was better than just a killer. That I could accomplish more. It is left a mystery. I'm ready to give up the pointless fight.

A ghostly voice echoed through the dense fog. "Never surrender Kalli. Only then will your fight end with a crushing defeat." She knew that voice. But it was slower than normal and much calmer. "You will never be alone, my friend. Follow your heart and it will never fail you." The anonymous voice began to fade, as well as the apparition before her. "Wait, don't leave me Shadow!" The spirit approached the broken-hearted female. His whole uniform was obsidian black and his hair was dark brown and slightly long. The eyes were a brighter dark emerald green and his body cast a strange dull white glow. She embraced the Celestial knight in a hug. "Please don't ever leave me again!" But he gave her the same response. "You are never alone, Kalli. I am always with you. Call out my name and I will be there. My spirit and loyalty shall always be with you... even in your darkest hour." The hybrid faded from sight, leaving the girl behind in a quiet and secluded forest.

Kalli: Well that certainly was interesting. His spirit comes to me and talks. I must've been imagining things. The dead don't return to life like that and ghosts don't exist. I guess I'll head to the next city and start killing again. And while I'm at it... I should think of what Shadow said to me before he died.

The serial killer pondered on the thought of Shadow's words as she casually entered another city in the state of Virginia. But these civilians were not as dumb as they appeared. Instantly she was recognized and met with hostile opposition. And she had accidentally left her pliers back at her new hiding spot. Her only weapons were her hands and mind. Not a very good combo against armed opponents. But Kalli was far behind intelligent and extremely quick. One by one she killed off her attackers. Taking them by the neck and violently throwing them to the ground and into inanimate objects. She had picked up  an assault rifle to which appeared to be unused and fully loaded. Her battle had turned into a vicious firefight. Quickly the girl dispatched them. The street filled with blood and guts from torn open bodies from bullets and her dirty hand to hand combat. A tank rolled into the street, sliding around on the slippery wet, red road. She hoped that she hadn't dreamed of seeing Shadow.

The dragon had appeared before the tank, although he was still a spirit. His roar was terrifying and his strength had increased. The dragon lifted up the tank and threw it into a building. The explosion leveled the surrounding complexes. "See, I'm always here for you!" He faded away. She was confused again... but very greatful. Another war had been started, but it was from her this time.
Here is part 29.
